Jerrick Hoffer is an American drag performer, actor, and singer best known by his drag persona, Jinkx Monsoon. He was born on September 18, 1987, in Portland, Oregon, and began performing as Jinkx Monsoon in 2006.
In 2013, Hoffer won the fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race, becoming the second-biggest winner in the show's history. Since then, he has gone on to star in numerous stage productions, including an acclaimed run of Hedwig and the Angry Inch in Seattle.
Hoffer has also released several albums, including The Inevitable Album, The Ginger Snapped, and Seasons Greeterings from Jinkx & DeLa. He has used his platform to speak out about issues such as mental health and addiction, and has been an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.
In addition to his drag career, Hoffer has also acted in film and television, appearing in shows such as High Maintenance and Drunk History. He has also lent his voice to animated series like Steven Universe and Adventure Time.
